Dana O’Connor is the photographer and creative force behind DanaO’Connor Studios, a visual storytelling studio based in the Orlando, Florida area. Through DanaO’Connor Photography, he focuses on sports, portraits, and events, creating images that capture energy, personality, and authentic moments.

Dana brings a unique creative background to his photography. Before building his photography business, he spent decades working as a character animator for film, television, video games, commercials, AR/VR, and interactive media. His career includes work with studios and companies such as Industrial Light & Magic, Blue Sky Studios, Electronic Arts, EA Sports, and Waysun Inc., with credits connected to projects including Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, Ice Age, Medal of Honor, Madden NFL, NBA Live, and Tiger Woods PGA.

That experience shaped the way Dana sees through the camera. He looks for movement, timing, expression, composition, and story — the same qualities that make a great film shot or animated performance memorable. In sports photography, that means anticipating the decisive moment. In portraits, it means helping people feel comfortable, natural, and confident.

As a one-person studio, DanaO’Connor Studios is personal, focused, and hands-on. Dana works directly with clients from start to finish, keeping the process simple while delivering polished, professional-quality images.
